About Miss Jamie
Hello there! Thank you for taking some time to get to know me.
I have been a lover of music and movement from a young age. I grew up performing as a gymnast, dancer, and cheerleader and continue to enjoy freestyle dancing for my own well-being. During my college years, I discovered my gift for singing and songwriting and spent many young adult years performing around the various cities I lived. I got my feet wet with Music Together® teaching from 2018-2019, prior to getting a full-time work opportunity as a certified peer specialist. After 5.5 years of service to Western Psychiatric Hospital, I was ready to return to Music Together and bring all that I'd learned about holistic well-being, leadership, and community-building to the classroom as a new Music Together director!
I taught the 2024 fall semester while pregnant with my first child and can't wait to include her in future semesters! Having a baby has opened my eyes further into the unique experience of parenthood and the unique experience of being a child! I look forward to seeing how this strengthens my abilities as a Music Together teacher and director.

Here are some families from my first Music Together class in 2018 :)
My husband and I used to perform as a singer-songwriter duo called Brave Birr. We haven't performed together since before the pandemic, but we are hoping to host music events in our backyard soon!

My niece enjoyed helping me practice my teaching skills!

This is one of my favorite original songs. It's called "Lotus" and was written for a good friend and her daughter.

I love sharing Music Together songs with my daughter, Harvest. The lullabies often help her fall asleep :)
